Hudson’s General Store and Antiques Wins $20K Grant

Hudson’s General Store and Antiques in downtown Kingsport has been selected to receive a $20,000 grant from Main Street America, supported by American Express. The store, which has been renovated with help from several prior grants from the Downtown Kingsport Association, plans to use the latest funding to restore two upstairs rooms and convert them into a community event space. Owner Selina Straley says the space could be used for book clubs, yoga classes, furniture-refinishing workshops, and more.
