The Coalition For Kids began in 1998 when local business leaders and concerned citizens realized a need to help underprivileged children and youth make better choices on their path to becoming responsible adults. Funding was contributed to purchase a 9,700 square foot community center called "The Rock". After a complete renovation, the Grand Opening was held February 27, 1999 (with over 500 in attendance) marking the beginning of the objective to improve the lives of children a reality. After more than a decade of service to our community, the Coalition for Kids has changed the lives of thousands of low-income children! The Rock Community Center is now a vibrant hub at the center of C4K's programs!

Girls on the Run (GOTR) is a life-changing non-profit prevention program that encourages preteen girls to develop self-respect and healthy lifestyles through running.

The Oasis is a multi-denominational not-for-profit organization created to provide all woman with an open, welcoming and safe place to gain and build community while using basic services that educate and empower them for independent living in a Christ centered way. The Oasis provides access to basic services such as, laundry facilities, showers, as well as life skills, education and culture activities that involve art, music and a warm and excepting space. Our client base is low-income woman who need a safe place to feel that they are respected and encouraged while having access to what many of our participants would consider a luxury-clean clothes and personal hygiene.

Good Samaritan Ministries is a not-for-profit organization of people helping people. We are a trusted and dependable organization which has increased our benevolence each year since we were established in 1985. Good Samaritan Ministries believes that our community can contribute resources of time, money and goods to help those in need. Recognizing the dignity and importance of each person, the Good Samaritan staff works with each individual to develop productive long-term solutions. Our purpose is to provide relief for the poor, the sick and the destitute. Immediate assistance may be available to clients in crisis situations. Need is determined through an interview with Good Samaritan staff. Good Samaritan Ministries does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, gender, age or national origin. A local referral system is used to direct clients to other agencies if Good Samaritan Ministries is unable to assist. Families with emergency needs as well as homeless and low-income individuals may receive assistance through Good Samaritan Ministries if they live in one of the following counties: Washington, Carter, Greene, Hamblen, Hawkins, Hancock, Sullivan, and Unicoi. Good Samaritan Ministries, Inc. relies on the gifts and prayers of the community. Local churches, denominational offices, business, community service clubs, Sunday school classes, youth groups, and individuals provide funding. All gifts are tax deductible.

It’s pretty simple. I grew up Jewish. My father escaped Nazi-occupied Germany and my yiddeshe momma makes the best chopped liver. One day another Jewish man, fully divine, who died, was buried, and rose again for the sins of the world, called me to be His follower. Today I am fully Jewish and fully Christian and I love proclaiming the good news in authentic ways and equipping fellow Christians to do the same. The mission of our organization is to make the Gospel of Jesus a confident topic of conversation for every Christian. We want you to be confident in sharing your faith with others. To that end we offer many resources, including my latest book, INTO THE GALE, about sharing your faith when it is mocked, marginalized, and misunderstood. I am also passionate about making connections between the Old and New Testaments and to that end we offer equipping events. It is both humbling and amazing to think about all that God has done at Boones Creek Christian Church over the past 175+ years. Because of God's blessing and grace, what was once a 'little country church' has grown to an average attendance of 850 in the middle of one of the fastest growing areas in East Tennessee. The congregation at Boones Creek Christian Church has seen remarkable growth in church attendance and in the spirit of the membership.

Agape Women’s Services provides free lab-grade pregnancy testing, free pregnancy consultations, free STI testing, and free Limited OB ultrasounds. We also offer parenting classes, and post-abortion help.

Since day one, our mission has been to “glorify God by joining Him in building a community to reach a community.” We strive to accomplish that mission through our vision of helping broken and vulnerable people find life in Christ.
