Kingsport’s IMAX Theater at Fort Henry Mall Is Now Open

The IMAX Theater at Fort Henry Mall is officially open after several years of planning. The theater is a 7,000-square-foot standalone structure and is home to the region’s only IMAX screen. Kingsport City Manager Chris McCartt said he is excited to revitalize the property and for Kingsport to become a part of the evolving film industry, emphasizing the importance of bringing an IMAX theater close to home.
