Kingsport Scoop – April 05, 2026

☀️ Today’s Weather

🌧️ Sunday, April 5, 2026: Rain all day. High 65°F, Low 48°F. 100% chance of rain. Bring an umbrella!

😄 Joke of the Day

A Kingsport man was bragging to his neighbor: “We’ve got everything here in the Model City — Bays Mountain, the Greenbelt, Fun Fest…” His neighbor nodded and said, “That’s true. The only thing Kingsport doesn’t have is a way to make it stop raining in April.” The man looked out the window and replied, “Give it a minute — the forecast says 100% chance of complaining about it on Facebook.”

🧠 Trivia Q&A

Question: Kingsport is known as the “Model City,” but it’s also home to a unique annual summer celebration called Fun Fest. Fun Fest 2026 is scheduled for July 17–25 — but can you name the prestigious national award that Fun Fest won recognition for in early 2026, and what organization presented it?

Answer: Fun Fest was honored at the 2026 Southeast Festivals and Events Association’s Kaleidoscope Awards, presented by the Southeast Festivals and Events Association (SFEA).
