Juvenile Shot in Downtown Johnson City Saturday Night

A male juvenile was injured in a shooting that occurred late Saturday night in the downtown Johnson City area, according to the Johnson City Police Department. The shots were reportedly fired in a parking lot near Spring and Cherry Streets shortly before midnight. JCPD is searching for a person of interest and the investigation is ongoing.

📜 Today in Johnson City History

A century ago today in 1926, the murder charges against the four young men accused in Carl Miller’s death two days earlier were dismissed at a hearing, after it couldn’t be shown that his fatal head injuries came from anything other than being struck by the car on the Elizabethton pike.
