🚨 One Killed, Three Injured in Downtown Johnson City Crash
A devastating early-morning crash in downtown Johnson City left one person dead and three pedestrians injured over the weekend. According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol, the driver lost control, hit the curb, and the vehicle continued into a West Main Street parking lot — striking four pedestrians, a city lamp, and signage before stopping in a set of bushes around 1:29 a.m. The victim killed was identified as Toby Cornett, 24; charges are pending against the driver.

In the aftermath of the deadly downtown crash, some of the injured pedestrians are sharing their accounts of what happened that night. A local Johnson City business has also rallied in support of one of its employees who was among those struck while waiting in line at a food truck.
