Severe Thunderstorms Spawn Tornado Warnings Across the Region

Washington County Commission Denies Proposed RV Park

The Washington County Commission voted on July 27 to deny a rezoning request that would have paved the way for a new RV park. The proposal would have rezoned land around 1165 East Main Street in Jonesborough from an A-1 General Agriculture District to an A-3 Agriculture Business District. The Washington County Regional Planning Commission had recommended denying the request at its earlier meeting on July 7.

Johnson City Schools recently hosted its Innovation Academy, giving local teachers the opportunity to learn and practice new instructional strategies before the upcoming school year.
