All Four I-26 First Responders Home and Recovering
Four first responders injured during a series of crashes on Interstate 26 in Sullivan County are now home and recovering. The Kingsport Fire Department reports that three firefighters and one Sullivan County EMT have all been released from the hospital after a vehicle struck the group while they were loading a patient into an ambulance. Fire leaders are reminding drivers to slow down and move over for emergency crews, calling it both a safety matter and the law.
