KPD Arrests One Armed Robbery Suspect; Second Remains At-Large

The Kingsport Police Department has arrested one man, with a second suspect remaining at large in connection with an alleged attempted armed robbery that was foiled by an off-duty deputy. William Burk was arrested and taken to the Kingsport City Jail, while Justin Roberts has not yet been located. Roberts should be considered dangerous — anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call 911 or the Kingsport Central Dispatch at 423-246-9111, and residents are advised not to approach or engage with the suspect.

Kingsport’s Wing Fling Returns November 5 — Tickets On Sale Now

The 8th annual Wing Fling returns to the Kingsport Farmers Market on November 5, and organizers say this year’s event will feature more chicken wing vendors than ever before. Tickets are $20 and are available online at KPTWingFling.com or at the Kingsport Chamber; the ticket price includes entry and wing sampling from each vendor, and the price will increase to $25 on the day of the event. A panel of first responders from the Kingsport Fire Department, Kingsport Police Department, Sullivan County EMS, and the Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office will serve as official judges, selecting winners in several wing categories, including a first-ever “ZachBites Favorite Flavor” award.
