🏺 Over 130 Stolen Cemetery Vases Recovered; One Arrested
The Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office, working alongside the Scott County Sheriff’s Office, the Kingsport Police Department, and other agencies, recovered bronze vases that were initially reported stolen from the East Lawn Funeral Home & Memorial Park in Kingsport. Authorities collaboratively recovered 131 bronze vases from Scott County, Virginia and six from Sullivan County on Thursday — the vases were found at a home and a recycling center thanks to an anonymous tip, and Robert Clark of Scott County was arrested at the recycling center in connection with the thefts. Most of the vases were stolen from children’s burial sites. Law enforcement is urging anyone with loved ones buried at East Lawn, Oak Hill, or Holston View cemeteries to check their gravesites and contact authorities if a vase is missing.
